Charter of Hamas

Can we ever have ever-lasting peace in Palestine?

The Middle-East issue has been for so long, since 1948 and has been significantly changed the world that we lived in. It affects crude oil prices and has significant global economic impact. It drives divisions within many nations, including Malaysia.

As in every conflict, there are always two sides of the story. The story is a long one as it contains 60 years of records - atrocities perpetrated by both sides. Each accusing the other. Truth be told, that there are strong elements that are bent to see that the conflict never ends as long as the other party is completely annihilated.

The two-state solution is impossible to achieve should Hamas seats on the negotiation table since it refuses to recognise the existence of Israel. U.S. designates Hamas as a terrorist organization despite it winning a landslide victory in a democratice election. Nonetheless, the Battle of Gaza 2007 Hamas factions ousting Fatah members from the Gaza strip would have cause analysts to dare carve in stone a prediction that a "war" is inevitable.

Every conflict between two states can always be solved. However, the Palestinian conflict has a unique factor that dooms it to an ever-ending conflict. The Jew factor. Many may deny but it is apparent in the Quran and the Hadiths that the emnity between the early muslims and the jews has been immortalized for eternity.

For example, Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 177:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

Verses such as the above, together with Quranic verses extolling the vices of the Jews have ingrained hatred for the semitic race.

It is for this reason, Hamas is bent to destroy Israel. It is believed to be a spiritual calling. Thus, no ever-lasting peace and coexistence is possible.

It is for this reason, muslims around the world are most affected by the sufferings of the Palestinians, as "they are under the yolk of the jews".

Please don't think that the sufferings of the black muslims in Darfur will get the same attention.
